Despite not being an ardent gamer himself, the 20-year-old Singaporean fainted in front of the same computer the night before, according to his mother. She was teaching Ong how to play mahjong over the internet then. However, the 50-year-old mother did not mention if medical attention was sought at that point of time. It is said that Ong’s mother bought him the game upon the completion of his 2-year spell of his country’s military service. In addition, despite Ong’s medical history of asthma, his condition has been fairly stable and was not on any medication for it.
